I'm happy to announce that the maintenance work which we announced on last Friday is now fully complete. At this time, all systems should be up and running with the changes of pilot numbers incorporated.
So what has changed for you as a member?
Your pilot number now depends on your department. This means that the number that is assigned to your gets prefixed by the ICAO code of your department. As an example consider a pilot in our airline which has in the past the pilot number SAB123, being a member of the Brussels Airlines department. From now on, his pilot number is DAT123. Should he in the future change his department to Sabena, his pilot number gets changed to SAB123 automatically.
What does this imply for the website login?
On the website you can now login with any combination of your pilot number. For example, if your new pilot number is DAT123, you login to the website with these pilot numbers: SAB123, DAT123 or just 123. Your old password still applies.
What does this imply for HomeFLY?
To be on the safe side, it is recommended to keep your old pilot number in HomeFLY. The system will automatically recognise you and do the necessary conversions of your pilot number. However, until further notice please stay using your old pilot number (the one starting with SAB) in HomeFLY.
What does this imply for the forum?
As you might have noticed, we've also upgraded the forum software. Every member can simply login to the forum just as he does with the website, i.e. with any possible pilot number combination and the password of the website. For example, if your pilot number is SAB123 you can login to the forum with SAB123, DAT123 or just 123. Please note that visually your login to the forum will be represented as your name with your number (without department code) added to it.
What if some system still gives errors?
If you still experience errors on one or more systems, please advise the staff about it, we'll take a look at it and if needed fix the problem.
Thanks for your patience during the maintenance work!
